Two practices, one conviction: the future will not wait.

Who's
behind this.

Beyond the Horizon

Beyond the Horizon is a small practice, not a firm with layers. Every engagement is held by the two of us directly, end to end.

Background

Twenty-five combined years of practice, from opposite ends of the same question.

One side has spent a career inside organizations, in the rooms where the avoided decisions actually live. The other has spent it studying how people, culture, and technology reshape each other — and building the tools to act on it.

Beyond the Horizon exists in the overlap.

Jana Pejoska, PhD
Service design & digital culture

Jana runs a strategy practice at the intersection of service design, innovation, and digital culture, rooted in how people, culture, and technology shape one another. Her background spans a PhD on designing for dynamic, real-world contexts, a Visiting Scholar year at MIT Media Lab, and research leadership on AI and ethics — alongside earlier work founding an augmented-reality ed-tech company.

She currently co-runs the futures-oriented collective Humans & Creatures, and volunteers with MyData Global on ethical data policy, AI governance, and child-centric design guidelines — work that shapes how she thinks about building things people can actually trust.

Dan Palmer
Long-term Strategy & Speculative Futures

Dan works with organizations on the decisions they've been avoiding, the ones leadership teams sense but haven't named out loud. His background moves through digital strategy, innovation management, and business design, with engagements at Microsoft, Samsung, Beiersdorf, and others. He has an MBA in Strategy and Innovation Management from Amsterdam Business School, and his own practice, All Systems Go!. He is part of the Humans & Creatures community.

He calls himself, only half-jokingly, a professional provocateur, someone whose job is to make the drift visible before it becomes the crisis.
